The industry tries to group Black women's hair texture into 5 types; in reality there are hundreds of characteristics that make up our hair. At Dekko Salon, we analyze each client's hair and create a system specific to their hair type for optimum results.

Dekko's Priorities: Healthy Hair
The key to healthy, shiny hair is knowing if your hair is porous or resistant. Porous hair calls for products that are water based to hydrate the hair. Resistant hair, on the other hand needs moisture so that calls for products that are cream or oil based.
Once you color your hair, you change your hair. When you color your hair, the protein in the hair declines. It is important to shampoo and condition your hair with products that are made specifically made for color/chemical treated hair. These products are packed with extra mositurizers to keep your hair in great condition.
